This is an anhydrous formula (contains no water) and is preservative free. Use only clean hands or utensils when taking product from container. Take care not to introduce water or foreign material. 
This product is sensitive to heat and is best stored in a cool, dry area. If separation occurs, simply stir with a clean implement before use. 
Refrigeration is acceptable and will result in a firm consistency and an extended shelf life. Do not freeze.
